El Paso Streetcar

The Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority (CRRMA), working with the City of El Paso, Texas went into
contract with BROOKVILLE for the complete overhaul, restoration, and modernization of six PCC
Streetcars originally manufactured in 1937. This contract was valued at $18.8 million. The project
included stripping down the vehicle frames, repairing and replacing structural carbody components,
complete rewiring, truck remanufacture, door upgrades, and integration of modern technologies.
These carbodies feature the original paint schemes from the 1950s-1970s. These cars were removed
from service in 1974, however, returned to service in 2018 following a complete modernization.
