BROOKVILLE FEATURES ITS NEWLY DESIGNED POWERED FUEL BUFFALO

04/20/12

BROOKVILLE worked closely with a customer to develop the design for a diesel-powered fuel buffalo, the first of its kind in our facility. After working with the state to gain approval, the unit was shipped and is now running underground at its final mine location.

BROOKVILLE will always take a customer request into consideration because new features and unit designs are the foundation of keeping our company competitive and striving for new possibilities.  If a customer requests it, our dedicated team of engineers develops a solution, and our skilled workforce creates the final product.

The creation of the powered fuel buffalo required taking an existing diesel-powered platform design and converting it to a self-powered fuel buffalo. This is a modular unit structure that can be equipped with two unique end compartments – in this case, two 100 gallon fuel tanks. These tanks run independently of one another and are each situated within a containment tank. The unit has been manufactured with 2 separate Ansul fire suppression systems, 150 hose reels, and 12 VDC pumps.  Also, for added safety BROOKVILLE chose to paint the unit in a way that differentiates it from other BROOKVILLE equipment.

Through this project BROOKVILLE has continued to demonstrate its unique ability to meet customer requests by customizing existing designs to fit their developing needs. BROOKVILLE works with each customer to determine the features that will best suit the needs of each specific mine site.  Customers are the foundation of our business not only because we need them to thrive but also because they express desires that lead our team to develop innovative ideas and improvements that can be used in future projects.

BROOKVILLE also offers a standard unpowered fuel buffalo with a 450 gallon capacity, 700 gallon spill containment area, 100 ft hose, and a 12vdc fuel pump. The standard model is mobile but not independently powered.
