BROOKVILLE EQUIPMENT CORPORATION RECEIVES SMALL BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP FOR GOV. CORBETT’S JOBS FIRST MISSION TO BRAZIL AND CHILE

Brookville, Pa. – Brookville Equipment Corporation was awarded a $5000 scholarship to attend Gov. Tom Corbett’s April 6 – 15 Jobs First Mission to Brazil and Chile. The scholarship will be used to seek new international business opportunities to drive the economic growth of Western and North Central Pennsylvania.

Representatives of U.S. Congressman Glenn Thompson, State Senator Joe Scarnati, State Representative Sam Smith, the Jefferson County Commissioners, Team Pennsylvania Foundation and the North Central Regional Planning and Development Commission presented the award to BROOKVILLE on Feb. 12 at the company’s manufacturing headquarters at 175 Evans St. in Brookville.

The scholarship was one of two offered to businesses in North Central Pennsylvania and was granted after a formal application was submitted by BROOKVILLE demonstrating the company’s sustainability and overall economic impact.

“BROOKVILLE looks forward to prospecting new opportunities in Brazil and Chile in conjunction with Gov. Corbett’s office,” said Michael White, marketing manager, Brookville Equipment Corporation. “The goal is to utilize this funding to drive our business and in turn create economic growth that brings sustainable development through new jobs to North Central Pennsylvania.”
