BROOKVILLE SHIPS TWO NEW MINING PERSONNEL CARRIERS TO ALABAMA

12/14/12

BROOKVILLE, Pa., December 12, 2012 –BROOKVILLE recently completed the final stages of manufacturing and testing on two 17-man, diesel personnel carriers, which were shipped and delivered to an Alabama-based customer in mid-November – marking the customer’s first new equipment order from BROOKVILLE in over a decade.

Featuring Deutz® BF42011 diesel engines, the carriers are the first of their kind to be engineered, designed and manufactured at Brookville Equipment Corporation and meet the customer’s exact specifications. The new units also feature power shift transmissions, bench seating, a user-friendly operator panel, easy-access maintenance panels, and meet all federal and state mining regulations and requirements.

Each of the mining personnel carrier’s four benches will seat four workers, with the operator station and engine located in the center, adding up to a 17-man vehicle that is engineered and designed to provide riders more space and comfort inside the vehicle by adding leg room and cushioned seats, while also navigating the limited size requirements of the mine. As a result, the innovative carrier comfortably fits more workers into less space.
